Throughout the history of television there have been great shows, and some really terrible ones. Here's a look at some of the worst that television has ever produced. The crazy thing is that many of these shows had good ratings and a high number of viewers.
This list isn't just fictional shows but reality TV as well, which many regard as a big downturn in the quality of television shows and a sign that show producers have run out of ideas.
Don't get me wrong though, there have been some fantastic tv shows in the past and present, and there will definitely be some great ones in the future.
Basically, a pilot that flys a super advanced helicopter owned by the CIA ends up stealing it, and begins flying around on his own and blowing stuff up. Did I mention that one of the co-stars is Ernest Borgnine? Yes, they managed to make it even more ridiculous than it already was. It did actually have an awesome theme song though.
Bosom Buddies (1980-1982)
A truck driver and his pet chimpanzee get into all kinds of crazy shenanigans, I might go as far as calling it tom-foolery! Yes, it's just as bad as it sounds. I don't think PETA existed back then,or they would have literally gone "Ape Sh*t" over this horrendous show.
Shape-shifting man who possessed the ability to turn himself into any animal he chose to solve crimes. I think that pretty much sums up how bad this show was.
Fast car that can transform into a fast bulletproof car, with guns. It sounds awesome, but it's actually super-cheesy and down right terrible.
Temptation Island (2001-2003)
Couples agreed to test their relationship by living with a group of singles of the opposite sex. This show is pretty much just a loophole that the television executives used to put soft core porn on the major networks during prime time.
The Littlest Groom (2004)
Just like "The Bachelor" but on a smaller scale. Basically a merger of a bachelor-type show and the exploitation of little people.
Britney & Kevin: Chaotic (2005)
A reality tv show with Britney Spears and her man at the time. You can just imagine the insightful and articulate words that came from their mouths.
Armed & Famous (2007)
A series that followed five celebrities as they train to become reserve police officers, followed by graduation. This would only be cool if the celebrity was somebody who could actually kick some ass like Chuck Norris.
My Super Sweet 16 (2005 – present)
Spoiled brats of the rich and famous and their outlandish parties for their 16th birthday. After 10 minutes of watching it you'll want to throw something at your television.
The Swan (2004)
Ugly women are given extreme makeovers that include plastic surgery to make them look better according to societies standards.
The Real Housewives of Orange County (2006-present)
This series along with the other "Real Housewives" series is pretty much a bunch of really annoying housewives illustrating the drama that goes on in their lives.
