Founder's Story
While working as the marketing and technology director at one of South Florida's largest personal injury firms, Tom Copeland was tasked with a mission: find a cloud-based case management solution that would transform the firm's operations from tired, outdated, and too reliant upon on-premises servers to cutting-edge, efficient, and ready to scale with growth. He evaluated nearly a dozen options and eventually recomended Filevine for their commitment to product development, high-degree of customization, and capable and open API.
Within twelve months, the firm and its seventy-five staff were live in Filevine, and Tom was already developing applications for automating intake and marketing workflows that increased sign-up rates and reduced overhead.
In 2021, realizing that other law firms could benefit from his unique skillset, he launched Vinetegrate®. The company grew quickly, but so too did the legal tech space outside of Filevine. In 2025, Tom launched his long-planned vision for Matterflow® to expand the horizons of his technical expertise and experience to a multi-platform discipline.
With more than 450 law firms served since 2021, Matterflow® today focuses what we do best: advising, implementing, and training small and mid-sized law firms in specific areas of practice. We support firms operating on both contingency and non-contingency fee models, and have deep experience in technical tooling, automations, and integration AI systems.
